I am a Woman

I am a Woman

About the work

This work is a reflection on the concept of visibility — how we see ourselves, how we are seen by others, and the spaces in between that remain hidden. Through these images, I invite the viewer to confront their own perceptions of the body, challenging conventional ideals and encouraging a deeper understanding of human vulnerability and resilience. The use of warm, intense colors juxtaposed with cooler tones serves to emphasize the duality of the inner and outer self, highlighting the complexity of self-perception and the tension between societal standards and personal identity. The brushwork is intentionally loose and expressive, aiming to capture the raw, unfiltered essence of the figure, while the choice of composition seeks to draw attention to the body's natural curves and imperfections, celebrating them as a form of beauty and strength.
